About Me

Hello everyone, my name is Antonio Cordello and this is my digital portfolio. I am currently a junior at the University of Hartford, majoring in communications while minoring in marketing. Besides the academics, I am also a part of the university’s rugby team and bass fishing club that has recently started up.

While I attended this school, I also was a four sport athlete. I played football, winter track and during the spring season I would double up sports, playing spring track and baseball.  For more info about my personal life click here!

This is where I received my high school diploma and discovered my passion for the digital world we live in today. If I never had the brilliant idea to save money my sophomore year of high school by building a computer, then I wouldn’t be here right now.

Ever since falling in love with technology, I took advantage of the digital media courses and completed most of them before the time I graduated. I’ve had classes that ranged from coding video games, to learning Photoshop and being taught the whole Microsoft office package. These skills are key for the communication field that I want to excel in.

When I was growing up, I always realized how technology was slowly penetrating itself into our lives whether we like it or not. I’ll never forget what my mom used to tell me growing up. My Mother is a Vice president of human resources at an insurance broker and every car ride I took with her, shed tell me a work story. Most of them went like this, “We keep hiring young employees like you because you’re adapted to technology, our older staff takes three times as long to learn new software and time is money of course.”

We used to drive to work together 5 days a week during the summer so I’ve heard endless stories, this trend of hiring tech savvy young adults is not just at my mom’s company, but it’s a reoccurring factor throughout the world. Lastly, I believe if you don’t learn how to use technology you can be left behind and not prosper in this world.
